Florida Mayor Wants To Install Ten Commandments

Mayor of Cape Coral, Florida

The mayor of Cape Coral, Florida wants to install a Ten Commandments display in the city council chambers, “for starters”, he says.  The lashings and stonings will commence next month.

“I don’t want to do this in a haphazard way or open up a can of worms, but I think it is a good idea,” the mayor said. “I don’t see this as separation of church and state. Our laws were built on the Ten Commandments.

Stop it, just stop it.  Our laws are NOT built on the fucking Ten Commandments.  Please show me one fucking law in this country that mandates putting to death unruly children or people who work on Sundays or people who worship gods of religions other than Christianity.  Seven of the Ten C’s directly violate the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.  So just fucking stop it with the bearing of false witness, will ya?

“Our Founding Fathers, everyone of them, had religious affiliations. It’s getting back to our core values.”

No!  That is a false statement.  Not every one of the founders had a religious affiliation, many of them strongly against religion and Christianity in particular.  This country’s “core values” included Biblical justification for owning other humans as slaves, for just one glaring example.

The Jesus Con

Here’s a good read on the complete historical absence of any mention of Jesus of the Bible.  It is a complete fabrication.  Here’s an excerpt, emphasis added:

[…]

Due to modern science these are now recognized as forgeries by all scholars both Christian and secular. A total of about 40 to 50 interpolated lines are the only supporting evidence of the existence of J.C. a man-god who supposedly shook up the whole world of that period.

The other historians of that time, Arrian, Lucius Seneca (4 BC – 65 AD) Dion Pruseus, Pliny the Elder, Pater Calus, Suetonius, Juvenal, Theon of Smyran, Martial, Phlegon, Persius, Pompon Mela, Plutarch, Quintus Curtius, Lucian, Apollonius, Pausanias, Valerius Flaccus, Quintilian, Forus Lucius, Lucanus, Phaedrus, Epictetus, Damis, Silius Italicus, Alulus Geuius, Statius, Ptolemy, Columella, Diochry Sostom, Hermogones, Lysias, Valerius Maxiimus, Cornelius, Titus Livius, Cluvius Rufus, Publius Petronius (the Roman consul) who lived in Jerusalem. All these heard nothing, not a word was written about J.C.

These historians wrote about early religions but never mentioned J.C. or the spectacular events that the church said accompanied J.C.’s life. It is easy to come to the conclusion that the J.C. story is pure fiction. The deafening silence by all the historians and writers of that era is the most damning proof that J.C. never existed, and all the stories that the church promoted to try and back up a non-existing character are all made up of myths and legends of past gods.

The church and believers have no answer to this although they trot out various excuses from time to time. This evidence is set in concrete. The god of the Hebrews did not exist before the 6th century BC. All deities who preexisted were named — Brahma, Horus, Osiris, Isis, Marduk, Ahuramazda.

After these there were many others — Allah had to wait till the 5th century AD to be invented by Muhammad.

It is all summed up very nicely by Pope Leo X (Giovanni De Medice) who was Pope 1513-1521. At a Vatican feast he toasted with a glass of wine held high, “How well we know what a profitable superstition this fable of Christ has been for us and our predecessors…” The Church  tried to hide this unsuccessfully, because it was recorded by two who were present, Cardinals Bembo and Jovius.

Bryan Fischer: U.S. Under A Bear Curse

Signs, signs, everywhere are signs.  The batshit-insane Bryan Fischer says that because bears are attacking livestock and people, it is a sign that we are under a Biblical bear curse.  Jeezus, we barely survived the previous killer whale curse.

One human being is worth more than an infinite number of grizzly bears. Another way to put it is that there is no number of live grizzlies worth one dead human being.  [unless it’s a queer – did I put that in there?] If it’s a choice between grizzlies and humans, the grizzlies have to go. And it’s time.

God makes it clear in Scripture that deaths of people and livestock at the hands of savage beasts is a sign that the land is under a curse. The tragic thing here is that we are bringing this curse upon ourselves.

Elisha - LOL, get 'em, bears!

Of course, this makes me think of 2 Kings 2:23-24

And he [Elisha] went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Scripture makes it crystal clear that bald men are not to be mocked.  As a bald-headed man, I totally approve this smiting.

The Bible Is Repulsive

From GodIsImaninary.com, Proving that the Bible is repulsive:

Also, a wonderful quote from GodIsImaginary:

The way to change the world is to change people’s minds. As more and more people openly discuss the fact that “God” and “Allah” are completely imaginary, the world becomes a better place. The people who believe in “religion” look sillier and sillier. Eventually, religion becomes a fringe activity that is meaningless.

Spread reason, not superstition.

Eddie Long Preached That Gays “Deserve Death”

The spiritual sons' spiritual daddy

Imagine that you’re a teenaged kid sitting in the pew when your family’s preacher gives his fiery “homosexuals deserve death” sermons.  You hear the sentiment repeated by the trusted adults around you — parents, adult relatives, teachers, all the people on whom you rely for guidance and ‘truth’ and ‘what’s real’ in this world.

You hear the tone of total disgust and fear: ‘queers’ are filthy and evil predators, controlled by actual demons and that (G)od (H)imself (who, you’re told, created them) despises them so much that there is no hope for them now or in the afterlife.  So despised and evil are these monsters, that (G)od sys that they must even be put to death in the here and now.

You, like all the other kids your age, are beginning to experience the natural development of your attractions towards others — you don’t know what sex really is, you’ve never even had sex (or for that matter, never had a life yet) but at some point you realize — omg, they’re talking about you.  You’re terrified.

Now, does it take much more to understand why so many teenaged kids are ending their lives? Does it take much more to understand why so many kids are physically attacked and/or killed?  Or why so many kids are thrown out of their homes, thrown away like garbage by “loving Christian parents”?

Does it take much to understand the psychological impact this bullshit has on a kid?  And, the kids who don’t kill themselves turn out to be, depending on many variables, either happy, well-adjusted adults who’ve learned that nothing the hell is wrong with them, or they totally believe the lies and sink into a self-loathing and self-destructive spiral, or they totally believe the lies and become self-loathing, hate-filled, closeted gay-bashing preachers/criminals/scammers.

Linda Jernigan Shares The Love

Linda Jernigan preaches the lieAnother “ex-gay” tool projecting her own effed-up life and self-loathing onto others, spouting the Old Testament.  On her website, Linda Jernigan says that God commands christians to “UTTERLY DESTROY” (her own CAPS) the “demonic forces” and gay people are those demonic forces, and God commands christians to “destroy them without apologies” — BUT, but “please know” she doesn’t “promote violence towards homosexuals” BUT christians can “confidently annihilate demonic forces” (the homosexuals) — but remember, she, or rather, “God (and I) loves homosexuals” — she had to include herself in parentheses there ‘coz, you know, she’s only loving them because gOd makes her love them, yet gOd commands her to kill them.

Yeah, I’m feeling the love.  Loud and clear, Ms. Jernigan, from every extremist’s pulpit these days I hear it loud and clear, every Deuteronomy death proclamation, every Leviticus call for blood.  This is exactly the kind of talk I heard coming from politicians in ’06 that woke me up from my happy little life.

“From almost twenty years of personal experience I know homosexuality is filled with pain, torment, shame, and confusion. In addition, suicide rates among lesbians are twice as high in comparison to heterosexual women. Also, 30% of all suicide attempts among people between the ages of 15-24 are homosexuals; and, domestic violence is the third leading cause of death among homosexuals (behind AIDS and substance abuse) How loving does this sound? Can you see how homosexuals are using simple words to advance their agenda? In addition to advancing their agenda, Satan’s desire is to place the church under arrest in our communications (print and media), speech (verbal and nonverbal), and language (words).

Demons!  Annihilate!  Agenda! Kill!  “Can you see how [christian whackjobs] are using simple words to advance their agenda?”, and their lies?  Jernigan’s “personal experience” is not mine, nor anyone else’s I know.  Jernigan is another one of these christian extremists who come from some really effed-up backgrounds (I am reminded of James Hartline with his meth-burned brain).  This is her fucked-up life, this is her torment, confusion and shame, it is her alcoholism, her drug addiction (from her ‘about‘ page) and food addiction (unless it’s ‘glandular’, my apology; other than that, she is a glutton, which is soundly condemned in the Buy-Bull) and definitely not treating her body as a temple.  The Bible also says that women shall not adorn themselves and that they shall not be allowed to speak, teach, or have any kind of authority over men.  Then there’s that Ten Commandment thing, like, you know, Do Not Lie.  Yikes!  Looks like Linda doesn’t follow her own scriptures very well at all.  Her Bible is crystal clear about following these rules!

Sodom And Gomorrah: The Köfels Asteroid Impact

The event was recorded by many civilizations, including the Genesis account.  If folks today still believe that natural disasters happen because of God’s displeasure with whomever they think deserves it, then they’ll still readily believe that “God” sent the asteroid to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, rather than it being a natural event beyond the control of humans or imaginary gods.

From the article:

Mark Hempsell, one of the researchers from Bristol University who cracked the tablet’s code, said: “It’s a wonderful piece of observation, an absolutely perfect piece of science.”

He said the size and route of the asteroid meant that it was likely to have crashed into the Austrian Alps at Köfels. As it traveled close to the ground it would have left a trail of destruction from supersonic shock waves and then slammed into the Earth with a cataclysmic impact.

Christian Taliban Women Tell Women Rape Is Their Fault

The Bible says if you look upon a woman with lust, you have already committed adultery and fornication in your heart.  Whew!  I’m safe on that one.  Women from the Christian Taliban are handing out leaflets in Virginia to women they deem to be dressed in an “ungodly” manner.  So outrageously unbelievable, they proclaim that victims of rape bring it upon themselves.  My god.  So, heterosexual men are predators who cannot control their lusts (heh, well, the religious ones, it seems) and it is all women’s fault for wearing ungodly clothing?

What is their excuse for the fact that 1-out-of-3 women in the U.S. Armed Forces report having been raped?  Were they too sexy in those army fatigues?  And, do they consider  adult men the victims because they are helplessly driven to lustful insanity by the little girls they rape?  Are little girls at fault, too?  What about disabled and/or elderly rape victims?

Anyway, from the first link (emphasis added):

BRISTOL, Va. – Nineteen-year-old Keshia Canter handed three burgers, fries and milkshakes to a car-load of Tuesday afternoon customers at the Hi-Lo Burger’s drive-though window. A lady sitting in the backseat leaned forward, between the two men in front, and handed her a leaflet: “Women & Girls” it said across the top.

“Even though nothing is showing, you’re being ungodly,” Canter recalled the woman telling her. “You make men want to be sinful.”
